Rocky’s Radio cc was established in 1956 and has remained a family business since inception. Our focus has always been on providing good service to our clients. We are very selective in the products we sell to ensure availability of spares and back up service if required. I believe our pricing to be competitive . There are two facets to our business. A: We have a retail store where we sell leading brands of household electronic equipment eg. TV’s plasma screens, LCD screens , data projectors, hifi equipment and home theatre systems. B: We have an industrial division which specialize in Closed circuit TV systems, public address systems , access control and installing data projectors for training / board rooms. We provide turnkey solutions in these areas ie give advice on equipment to be used , install all equipment to your requirements and provide a repair service afterwards should it be required. We are a level 4 BBBEE compliant Company We are proud that we have done various installations for the following prestigious companies over many years. 1) Impala Platinum Refineries – Installed and maintained many CCTV cameras for security and process control over a period of +- 30years . Installed several data projectors for their training centres and board rooms complete with audio / video equipment. 2) Bateman Engineering – We assisted Bateman Engineering with design and implementation of various CCTV projects for various industrial clients, ranging from mines and metal smelters. These included projects at: Samancor in Meyerton Assmang Chrome in Machadodorp Hernic Ferrochrome in Brits SA Chrome in Boshoek (near Sun City) Chambishi Metals in Kitwe Zambia International Ferro Metals in Mooinooi Moatize Coal Mine in Mozambique 3) DRA (Project House) We assisted with the design and supplied CCTV equipment for a coal mine in Middelburg(Mpumalanga ) and a coal mine in China . 4) Belsize Printers – We have installed several cameras for this company over a period of about 30 years. We are currently discussing changing their analogue cameras to work on an IP platform for greater flexibility. 5) Hatch Africa (Project House) We have installed and maintain an Indigo Vision IP based CCTV system for this client. Here we installed +- 320 cameras in 20 different buildings located in Jhb, Woodmead , Country Club Estate and Centurion. All the camera signals are viewed in a central security office. We have also installed an access control system for Hatch , controlling 210 doors in the various buildings and all controlled from a central location. We also installed and maintain their public address systems in the various buildings . 6) Assmang Chrome – We have recently upgraded their CCTV system at their furnaces in Machadodorp to an Indigo Vision IP solution, where several controllers can view various cameras in a centralised control room. 7) Maropino Mine – Mozambique , Supplied and installed several cameras and recording functions. 8) UMK – United Manganese of the Kalahari – Hotazel . Designed and installed several cameras and recording equipment for their automated load – out system.
